Chapter Six

Cliff opened the bathroom door deftly and placed Goldie down gently, sitting her on the toilet’s closed seat while he ran a warm bath. “Let’s get you out of those clothes,” said Cliff, pulling the kimono top off of Goldie and unlatching her bra for her before turning to check the water temperature as Goldie shimmied out of her pants quickly, hiding the fact she didn’t have any panties on. Cliff unbuttoned his own top and pulled it off, folding it and putting it on the bathroom counter.

“Wah, what are you doing?” asked Goldie. She couldn’t help but admire Cliff’s strong, firm chest...but she looked away when she saw his mate mark, the golden-colored lock on his chest. Unfortunately, looking away meant looking down, and she happened to be looking down as he unbuttoned his suit pants and pulled them down, kicking them off which made his package bounce up and down underneath his black silk boxers.

“Honey, I’m not about to get my clothes soaking wet,” said Cliff. “I can’t stand being in wet clothes.”

“Well, I don’t want to watch your hard dick while I’m taking a bath,” said Goldie crossly.

“What do you mean, hard?” asked Cliff.

Goldie gulped: if that was how big Cliff was when he was soft, there was no telling how big he’d get once he was actually turned on. “Are you gonna be in here while I take a bath?”

“Let me get this straight: you intend on sleeping with me tonight, but you don’t want me to see you take a bath?” asked Cliff, pouring a pink liquid into the bath. “What happens, you melt if you touch water?”

“No, it’s just...embarrassing,” said Goldie. “I’m not sexy in the bathtub.”

“What woman isn’t sexy taking a bubbly bath?” said Cliff, stirring the bath mix and frothing the water up. The scent of the bubble bath was intoxicating: it smelled like rose petals and strawberry jam.

“Fine, I’ll take a bath,” said Goldie, her arms crossed around her chest. “But this is stupid.”

“Okay,” said Cliff, reaching a hand out to Goldie.

“It’s stupid,” insisted Goldie, taking Cliff’s hand. “I’m not a kid.”

“Whatever you say,” said Cliff as he helped Goldie into the bathtub. She sat down in the large tub and leaned back, the water level up to her chin, and she scooted up as Cliff rifled through the bathroom drawers.

“Why do you have this girly stuff anyway?” asked Goldie, her eyes closed as she felt her muscles relax, the water sucking out all the tension.

“I asked the cleaning service to stock the house for the weekend,” said Cliff. “I asked for their honeymoon package.”

“I never would have pegged you for a romantic,” said Goldie, opening her eyes to sneak a peek at Cliff.

“Keep those eyes closed,” ordered Cliff. “And dunk your head under the water.”

Goldie closed her eyes and dipped her head under for a few seconds, coming back up in under ten seconds. Cliff went to work on her hair, rubbing her head with shampoo which frothed and added more bubbles to the tub.
